When I first saw the required books in the syllabus, I could not help but think “wow, this guy knows
exactly what he is doing!”. I had not read a page from the book and already had an idea of how the
quality would be. First, the school is not going to let just anyone throw together a mediocre text, and
require it for all students taking the class. Second, the small business plan behind the idea of the book is
genius alone. I absolutely respect that. After beginning the class, and upon our first reading assignment,
I knew that I would benefit from the work put into the textbook. Not packed with ridiculous, over
written text, it is easy to read, and includes down to earth, in depth explanations of whatever the
chapter may be. I will keep this book on the shelf, because it goes beyond education. It pertains to your
career. The $20 book is easily the most helpful textbook I have purchased.

I have thoroughly loved reading and utilizing the skills that I have acquired from, “How To Get The Job
You Want And Then Keep It!” Frank Armstrong does an exquisite job delving into many of the sought out
unanswered questions that individuals of all ages have today. He expresses how to properly prepare and
refine a resume/cover letter, spends a great deal on how important it is to have a respectable self-sell
speech, what to do before, during and after a career interview, and lastly how to understand different
co-worker/boss personalities so you can maintain or even progress within your career. I would
absolutely recommend this book, not just to college prospects, but also any individual who is searching
for a career. Not only is this book extremely affordable but it is an investment that I plan to keep close
for reference throughout my entire life.

I found myself reading Frank Armstrong book “How to Get the Job You Want…. And Then Keep It” very
helpful for myself when it came to me finding an everyday job. Frank gives a lot of information in his
book on how to perfect yourself. The book goes into extreme detail from what clothes you should wear
to an interview, to what Kind of question the interviewer will ask and how to answer them yet alone
what questions you should ask them. The book sets you up for success in finding a right job for you and
keeping the job. The books go went inti very deep detail on how to make a proper resume and cover
letter that you will feel enthusiastic handing in to an employer. It tells you what you should have
inquired in your resume and cover letter and that then gives you a chance to either add what you need
or take away some items that’s not needed. The book really help me out when it came to the interview
section. It taught me many different things from what is a good question to ask them to what you
shouldn’t ask and why. Frank helps you get prepared for your upcoming interview while giving you tools
on how to take control of the interview. Another thing I have learned from this book is you should
always thank the interviewer for taking time out of there day either in person or an email. Just to let
them know that you were excited and thrilled they consider you as a prospect.
